CL is a certification company. As such, CL provides a way for companies of all sizes to have their products voluntarily tested. It is valued in the industry to be included in CL’s list of Approved Quality products and bear the CL seal. Over the past five years, CL has tested more than 1,200 products. This testing represents 250 different brands and most types of popular dietary supplement. CL selects academic and commercial laboratories for their expertise in the type of study to be done. Blinded tests are done for each product. These facilities follow good laboratory practice (GLP) protocols as set down by the FDA and laboratory accreditation bodies. They participate in method validation programs and are FDA inspected. CL’s research staff closely evaluate the work of these laboratories on a frequent basis. |
